Catherine Sinclair

  • Catherine Sinclair is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She is dual fellowship trained in Head and Neck Oncology (specializing in neck endocrine surgery) and Laryngology, Voice and Swallowing. As such she has a particular interest in voice preservation and laryngeal nerve protection during neck endocrine surgery. She is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, American Head and Neck Society (AHNS), American Thyroid Association and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and currently serves on a number of national committees including the AHNS Endocrine Section, AHNS Women in Surgery Committee, and AACE Endocrine Surgery Scientific Committee. She has published widely in the field of head and neck oncology, endocrine surgery, and laryngology. Current research interests include the development of a novel neuromonitoring technique for the recurrent laryngeal and vagus nerves and understanding the mechanism and clinical applicability of the human laryngeal adductor reflex.
