Dr Ian Ganly, MD, PhD, MSc, FRCS (Edin), FRCS (Glas), FRCS-ORL (Edin) is an attending head and neck surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He has special interest in thyroid cancer and has published extensively in this area. His clinical research interests are in outcomes research focusing mainly on thyroid cancer and has published more than 170 peer reviewed scientific articles and written several book chapters in the field of head and neck cancer and thyroid cancer. In addition he carries out translational research on the oncogenomics of thyroid cancer pathogenesis and was principal Investigator for MSKCC for the NIH Thyroid Cancer Genome Atlas project. He is a member of the ATA, AAES and AHNS. He is on the program committee of the AAES and on the research committee of the thyroid section of the AHNS.
