  • I am an Associate Attending Physician at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Weill Cornell Medical College, and I am interested in studying and promoting risk-adapted therapeutic strategies in patients with thyroid cancer with the ultimate goal of developing interventions that reduce harm while improving prognosis. My scientific interest in the field developed over the years as I studied the effects of age, race, and gender on the TSH distribution and the consequences of overtreating indolent disease. Through collaboration with an outstanding multi-disciplinary team with complementary research skills, I gained insights into the biology of thyroid cancer, contributed to understanding clinical implications of molecular events, and helped shed light on the effects of excess treatment in this highly relevant population of patients with thyroid cancer.
