  • I attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. I completed fellowship training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Johns Hopkins under the direction of Dr. Paul W. Ladenson, and continued on as a clinical faculty member at that institution before moving to Boston to join the Thyroid Section of Brigham and Women’s Hospital. During my time at Johns Hopkins I garnered extensive experience in the management of patients with thyroid cancer during a transitional period when practice began to evolve to incorporate the use of recombinant TSH in monitoring and treatment protocols, increased utilization of dedicated ultrasonography and FDG-PET scanning to detect persistent disease, and the identification of a range of molecular and genetic markers that play a role in the characterization of different tumors.
