Camille Buffet


Camille Buffet is Professor of Endocrinology and Head of the Department of Thyroid and Endocrine Tumor Diseases at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital (AP-HP, Sorbonne University) in Paris, one of the leading referral centers for thyroid and endocrine disorders in France. She also leads the Sorbonne University Clinical Research Group on Thyroid Tumors, coordinating translational and clinical research programs focused on thyroid cancer and endocrine neoplasia. 

At the national level, she chairs the Thyroid Research Group of the French Society of Endocrinology, which promotes research, education, and collaborative initiatives in thyroid diseases. She coordinates a national training program in endocrine and cervical ultrasound and directs the Inter-University Diploma in Diagnostic and Interventional Thyroid and Endocrine Ultrasound, a postgraduate program dedicated to advancing expertise in thyroid imaging, minimally invasive procedures, and interventional neck ultrasound. 

At the European level, she is actively involved in both the European Thyroid Association (ETA) and the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE). She serves on the Education Boards of both societies and is Associate Editor of the European Thyroid Journal. Her clinical and research interests focus on thyroid cancer, endocrine tumors, thyroid ultrasound, molecular oncology, and innovative approaches to the diagnosis and management of thyroid diseases.
