Francoise Borson-Chazot

WCTC - World Congress on Thyroid Cancer

Françoise Borson-Chazot MD, PhD, is emerita professor of Endocrinology at Lyon1 University (France). She has served, from 2013 to 2020, as head of the endocrinology department of the University Hospital of Lyon, which is a reference center of the French national network for refractory thyroid cancer (ENDOCAN-TUTHYREF) and an expert center of the European network EURACAN. She is a former president of the French Endocrine Society (2014-2016) and of the French Endocrine tumor group (GTE) (2009-2012). She has chaired the local organizing committee of the ECE congress held in Lyon in 2019. Her research activities focus on thyroid cancer, endocrine tumors and pituitary diseases. She authored or co-authored – 300 peer-reviewed articles referenced in PubMed.

WCTC Mission Statement

The mission of the World Congress on Thyroid Cancer is to:

Develop a collegial multidisciplinary global platform for all specialists for the discussion on the diagnosis, and treatment of thyroid cancer
Create an environment to stimulate research in the field of thyroid oncology
Build the groundwork for future direction in the management and research in thyroid cancer
Foster camaraderie and build relationships to develop opportunities amongst all professional colleagues for exchange of information and experiences as well as research findings
