Daniel Igor Branovan, MD, FACS, MHCM Director and Chair of the New York Ear, Nose and Throat Institute. International, Project Chernobyl, New-York, NY; USA Dr. Branovan is the Founder and President of Project Chernobyl, UN-accredited not-for-profit international organization, based in New York. It’s mission is delivery of healthcare services to millions of people around the world impacted by the Chernobyl nuclear accident, and advancement of scientific knowledge regarding consequences of radiation exposure. Project Chernobyl research team has developed unique minimally-invasive modalities for treatment of thyroid cancer, and have recently demonstrated a link between radiation-induced thyroid cancer and contamination of drinking water with nitrates. Dr. Branovan is a U.S.-trained Head and Neck Surgeon, and serves as Director and Chair of the New York Ear, Nose and Throat Institute. He received his medical training at Stanford University School of Medicine and Harvard University School of Public Health.
