Dr. Lupo is the founder and medical director of the Thyroid & Endocrine Center of Florida located in Sarasota. He attended Duke University for college and then received his medical degree and internal medicine training at the University of Florida. He completed endocrine fellowship through a combined program at UC San Diego and Scripps Clinic. His endocrine practice is limited to thyroidology with an emphasis on structural thyroid disease – nodules and cancer as well as autoimmune thyroid disease. He is the 2017 recipient of the American College of Endocrinology H Jack Baskin Endocrine Teaching Award. In addition to being an editor of the 4th edition of Thyroid and Parathyroid Ultrasound and Ultrasound Guided FNA (Springer), he has published book chapters and several articles in the field of thyroidology. He is on the faculty of the Florida State University College of Medicine.
