Martin Schlumberger is Professor of Oncology at University Paris-Sud and chairs the Department of Nuclear Medicine and Endocrine Oncology at Gustave Roussy, Villejuif. His main fields of interest are the treatment of thyroid tumors and the use of radioactive isotopes in medicine. He has published more than 350 original articles in english peer review journals and since 2006, he is a member of the european and american taskforces that produced recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of differentiated and medullary thyroid cancers. He has delivered more than 250 invited conferences at international meetings.
He founded in 2009 the French network «TUTHYREF, Tumeurs de la Thyroïde Réfractaires” and the Endocrine Tumor Group of the EORTC. He was president of the International Thyroid Congress in Paris in 2010.
