Kresimira (Mira) Milas, MD is Professor of Surgery, Chief of Endocrine Surgery in the Department of Surgery at University of Arizona College of Medicine- Phoenix and Banner-University Medical Center. Dr. Milas received her medical degree from the University of Texas, Houston Medical School. She completed her internship and residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. Milas continued her training by completing fellowship programs in endocrine surgery at Emory University and surgical oncology and researhc at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.. Dr. Milas’ interests include the entire spectrum of thyroid and parathyroid diseases and surgery, thyroid cancer, and adrenal diseases. She is widely published with over 200 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, web-based programs, and a state-of-the-art textbook dedicated to advanced thyroid and parathyroid ultrasound. She is a member of many prestigious medical organizations including the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Thyroid Association, The Endocrine Society and American Surgical Association.
