Vincenzo Valentini

  • He graduated in Medicine at the School of Medicine of the Università Cattolica S.Cuore of Rome, in which he became specialist in Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Oncology. He is Professor of Radiotherapy and Chair of Radiation Therapy in the same University and of the Oncology and Hematology Department at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A.Gemelli IRCCS of Rome. In the past 30 years he focused his activity exclusively in Radiotherapy directing his interest to: the optimization of radiation treatments by using different imaging techniques for the definition of target volume delineation guidelines; the research of integration between radiotherapy and surgery, by managing pre-operative and intra-operative programs and brachytherapy; the research of integration between radiotherapy and chemotherapy, in which he applied different schedules for the treatment of locally advanced neoplasm especially in rectal, pancreas, stomach, anal canal, lung, cervix and biliary ducts cancers, and on the computer’s application in the fields of care, research and teaching and prediction models implementation.
