Yariv Houvras, MD, PhD is a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he performed graduate research in the laboratory of Jonathan Licht. Dr. Houvras was an intern and resident at Massachusetts General Hospital in Internal Medicine. He pursued clinical fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology in the combined Dana Farber-MGH/Partners program. Dr. Houvras performed postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of Dr. Leonard Zon, Children’s Hospital Boston and HHMI. Dr. Houvras was an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital. In 2010 Dr. Houvras joined the faculty in Medicine and Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC). Dr. Houvras leads a cancer genetics laboratory at WCMC and models thyroid cancer in zebrafish. Dr. Houvras sees patients with advanced thyroid cancer.
